One of the best features of the latest batch of sports games from Electronic Arts is the ability to upload gameplay videos to EASportsWorld.com. This awesome feature allows users to easily share their gameplay highlights with their friends and others not only on that website, but their own as well.

I picked up NHL 09 on Wednesday. So far I am loving the game. I jumped right into the Be-a-Pro mode by creating myself as a quick skating sniper (much like real-life). I joined the Bruins organization due to being a fan and the team's lack of forwards. After just 2 games down in Providence (their AHL franchise) I got the call up to the NHL.

IGN just put up an AWESOME video from the producers of NHL 09. The OTP (On the Pond) mode is looking awesome. You can take your created player online with a bunch of your friends or even just join a team of guys you don't know. The mode is looking awesome and will actually get me to play more NHL 09 online this season.

With all this talk about Madden 09 coming out next week, I’ve been getting geeked up for NHL 09. More and more info is starting to trickle out about the upgrades for this year’s version. While most sports games consider a horribly out of date roster update to be an “upgrade,” NHL 09 truly gives gamers and hockey fans a reason to buy the new version.

Ok, I am a huge hockey videogame nerd and EA sports has really put out great hockey games the last 2 years. In fact, NHL 08 was truly awesome and ranks as my favorite game ever. Unlike most videogames, all the controls for NHL 09 are done using the 2 sticks on the controller. This unique way of controlling your player allows the user to feel like they are actually doing stick-handling.
