Greatest NHL Commercials…EVER

There have been a number of great NHL commercials put out by teams, the league and by individual companies. Some of the ads are truly awesome, but for completely different reasons. Here are some of my favorites.

I can’t stand the Capitals, but I think this is one of the best ads ever.

This ad featuring Penguins players Colby Armstrong, Sergei Gonchar, Evgeni Malkin and Max Talbot is truly awesome. I think it was Armstrong’s performance in the ad that led him to be traded. Talbot comes off like a guy straight off the Jersey shore and I’m pretty positive that Malkin has no idea what the hell is going on.

Here is a NIKE ad back from the 97-98 season. I think they all featured French Canadian goalies who were all uppity over being scored on.

Swedish Twins. Man, they can shake it.

This is one of my favorite ads as it features some really funny moments; Thornton stuffing his face with mints, the knee hockey game in the hotel room (reminds me of when our parents left about 6 of us in a hotel room during a road trip when we were peewees and the hotel cops came to our room because we were playing full-contact hockey), and the Seinfeld-esqe “Ovechkin” from Crosby.

Let me know some of your favorites in the comments.
